Skin Quality and Hydration

Polynucleotide Treatments

Polynucleotides are injectable treatments used to address skin quality, including fine lines, texture and elasticity. They focus on gradual improvements rather than adding facial volume. Early clinical evidence is promising, although further high-quality research is needed. Suitability, treatment areas and the recommended course depend on the product and individual assessment.

SKINVIVE

SKINVIVE is a hyaluronic acid injectable delivered in small droplets beneath the skin’s surface to improve cheek smoothness and hydration. It focuses on skin quality and radiance rather than creating the contouring effects associated with volumising fillers.

TEOXANE babyGLOW™

TEOXANE babyGLOW™ is an injection technique using TEOSYAL® Redensity 1, a hyaluronic acid treatment. It is designed to improve skin quality, smoothness and radiance through carefully placed injections. The treatment plan is tailored following a consultation.

Profhilo®

Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment used to improve skin hydration and address skin laxity. It focuses on overall skin quality rather than targeted lip enhancement or facial contouring.

Profhilo® Structura

Profhilo Structura is a separate treatment within the Profhilo range, designed to address age-related changes in facial soft tissue, particularly the superficial fat compartments. Assessment helps determine whether the concern is skin quality, loss of tissue support or a combination of both.

Other Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are injectable treatments selected to address concerns such as dehydration, fine texture and reduced radiance. Different products have different ingredients and purposes, so the most appropriate option and treatment schedule are discussed during consultation.

Facial Volume and Definition

Dermal Fillers: Lips, Cheeks and Jawline

Dermal fillers add volume or definition to selected facial areas. Lip treatments can enhance shape and fullness; cheek treatments can restore volume and support contours; jawline treatments can improve definition.

Treatment is planned around facial proportions and individual preferences. Fillers carry risks, including rare but serious complications, which should be explained before treatment.

Lines and Wrinkles

Consultation for Lines and Wrinkles

A consultation explores your concerns, medical history and suitable treatment options.

Botox is a brand of botulinum toxin, a prescription-only medicine that temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles. It may be considered for certain expression lines following assessment by an appropriate prescriber. Treatment is offered only when clinically suitable.

Microneedling & Radiofrequency

Microneedling

Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled punctures in the skin, triggering a healing response. Depending on the device and treatment plan, it may improve the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles and uneven texture. Temporary redness, sensitivity and recovery time should be expected.

SkinPen®

SkinPen is a branded microneedling device. It belongs within the microneedling category, with treatment areas and settings selected according to the device’s approved use and your skin assessment.

Radiofrequency Treatments

Radiofrequency uses energy to heat tissue and may be used to address skin firmness and texture. Radiofrequency microneedling combines this energy with fine needles; it is different from standard microneedling and from treatments applied only to the skin’s surface.

Suitability, recovery and risks depend on the equipment used. RF microneedling can cause complications including burns, scarring and unwanted fat loss, making appropriate assessment and practitioner training essential.

LED Light Therapy

Dermalux LED Face Mask

The Dermalux LED Face Mask uses red and near-infrared light to support improvements in the appearance of fine lines, skin texture and radiance. It is a non-invasive option used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The face mask differs from other Dermalux clinic devices, which may offer different wavelengths and treatment options.

Skincare and Home-Care Plans

Obagi Skincare

Obagi offers skincare products for concerns including dehydration, uneven texture, blemishes and visible signs of ageing. Product selection should reflect your skin type, existing routine and any treatments you are receiving.

Obagi CLENZIderm

CLENZIderm is an Obagi range developed for acne-prone skin. The specific products and active ingredients should be selected following a skin assessment, with guidance on irritation and how to introduce them into your routine.

Prescription Skincare: Tretinoin

Tretinoin is a topical vitamin A medicine used to treat acne. It requires a prescription and individual guidance because it can cause irritation and is unsuitable for some people. It should be discussed as part of a clinical skincare consultation.

All treatments begin with an assessment of suitability. Expected results, alternatives, side effects, recovery and aftercare are discussed before proceeding. Results vary between individuals.
